speedometer ????????

I know that the 240 is only limited to 110 but how do u fix that w/o messing up the car????

get a rev-speed elimotor chip.. or reprogram the stock ecu.. those are some safe ways..

whatever u do, dont remove the 4th and 5th gear speed sensors like u see in some guides.. that has proven to only work on some versions of the ECU that were distributed and manufactured at different dates.

A couple of people have done it and ran the risk of being rear ended in Auto-Cross competitions.


reprogram ur ECU or get a PiggyBack Module. Like turbo2nr said, those are the safest ways. and by using either one, u can gain unused horsepower through fuel mapping, and actually SAVE some gas. :bigthumb:

I think the top speed varies a little bit on different 240's. I've heard the top speed be as low as 110 but I've heard others claim up to 125. Mine won't go past 118.

my dad took it over a 180....km...i dont know what the scale is but...its like 112. yeah?

the 89-90's spedo goes up to 115. i've had her up to an estimated 125... i know i'm a stupid ass :biggrin: the auto's aren't limited, but i think the manual cuts off at 112.

digital hud maxes at 189 i read..

ok, so who makes a good after market rev-speed elimotor chip, and does any one no the $$$ deciding factor $$$. also will this mod disable the rev-limitor 7200rpm, because that is nice to have...! i just want to keep up with me cuzins 92 civic si HB.

sr20 all the way. www.nippon-motors.com sells the s13 motor for 1 grand + S&H all i need is the wiring harnes, inter cooler, a few other minor things. then i need the LSD of a se model b/c my car is the base.
brakes and 5 lug conversion round of the important stuff then the custom wide body kit!!! all i need now is the winning lotto ticket!
