ebay question

Ok, i sold a set of headlights from a front clip with an sr20det. i believe it was an early 95 motor/front clip. i sold them with the title jdm, pretty reasonable i thougth. i sold them to a guy, and he is freaking out saying they are not jdm and he wants his money back. i posted 3 different pictures on the ebay ad....so he knew what he was getting. do i give him his money back? or what? i've never had this kind of problem....what will ebay do?

he's filing all kinds of fraud claims with ebay and paypal with pictures of the dot numbers on it and everything.

Well he cant do nothing about it. He saw the pix and if you say you got it off a front clip then i guess its got to be J.D.M... unless you actruly sold him your old lights huh then you cheated him outa his money... dont give it back hahaha

he says he is sending pictures of the usdm product number, and the dot approval stamp. i did pull them off a front clip, i assumed they were jdm. they looked almost exactly like mine ( i have jdm headlamps).

post the pix up i wana see?? if what he says is true then... are you sure you have an Sr20... or another KA :tongue:

lol, i definatly know the difference, and it wasnt my front clip, it was my friends. this was also a few months ago, just havent gotten around to selling them. heres a pic

what will ebay/paypal do? he says he's filing fraud complaints and whatever. although, it says on ebay's user agreement that it doesnt cover fraud claims "Items that are not significantly different from the listing"

I seen those lights on Ebay and almost bid on them... I still see them up for sell. Interesting. Where you get them from?

I friend of mine in new jersey was doing this swap, and my family lives there, so i happened to be out there. he had an s14 front clip, i believe it was a 95. he has a 97, so i bought those headlights from him for about 25$. i am assuming they are jdm headlights, since they came off of a front clip with an sr20det. the guy claims that jdm headlamps for the 95-96 silvia are glass, and i know for a fact that they are not (i have jdm headlamps, and they are a plastic resin). He also says there are DOT numbers on it. I'm gonna look closely at them when i get them back. maybe someone swapped the jdm's for usdm's at the docks or somethin? they look really similiar to mine.


the ones you see on ebay right now, aren't the ones i have up for sale.

you can solve future problems like this...

put "SOLD AS IS" and "ALL SALES FINAL" at the bottom of every auction. and even if they weren't jdm which im almost 100% they were, you posted pics so it's his fault.

only euro market cars had glass headlamps

this guy was just some wierdo.....i told him time and time again that jdm are plastic resin. he then sent me a link from www.freshalloy.com that had a post in it that hinted that they were glass.....and he said "i'm sending this to ebay as proof that they are supposed to be glass". hah, yeah, like freshalloy.com is the authority on whether or not jdm headlights are glass.


next time i sell them i'm puttin all sales final at the bottom, without a doubt. thanks for al the help

yea that's all i do now, all sales final. if it really wasnt what they wanted chances are he/she can turn around and sell it again to someone else.

Japan and America = headlights are plastic
97 & up headlights are glass in both
only EURO headlights are GLASS.

yeah i saw the own...great btw...but he now has a different car on there. and i know the guy who's car that is. i doubt he ask him if he could still his pic and then put the dawgs bs all over it.
