Hi,
I am goin to reinstall my driveaxles I took out of my Lx tranny.
But I was reading the Haynes manual and it said you have to replace the spring clips at the part where I axles go into the tranny.
It says they have to click in place and not be able to be pulled out with ur hand.
Do I really have to replace the spring clips or can I jsut try to put the axles back in and get it to click?
Thanks

...in all the times that I had axles in and out I never once replaced the spring clips..not saying it the right thing to do, but I never had a problem with it..

When I tried to get spring clips from Autozone, they looked at me like I was stupid, and told me to go to a dealer. I went to the dealer, and he just plain looked at me like I was stupid.

PS-DO make sure you plonk that axle all the way into the transmission. I didn't do that, and first time I let out on the clutch it chewed up all the splines and I had to get a new axle...which is really disappointing when you think you're about to drive away.
