Hey,
I finally got the D15 and LX tranny out last night.
I just finished unbolting the tranny from the engine.
I would install the new engine right now but the only problem is I'm still waiting for the SI ECU and injector resistor box.
It may take up to a week to get them finally.
I was thinking maybe I could just put the new engine in and bolt up the tranny.
By doing this does it make it harder for the DPFI to MPFI swap.
I mean wiring the SI ECU to the engine bay and doing the injector box wiring?
Another stupid question but I cant drive it with the LX ECU correct.
Cause this is really a big problem. My parents only have one car a didge durango and they work.
I have to get to work and usually they have to drop me off and gotta find a ride back home.
thanks

It's always easier to bolt and unbolt manifolds, etc, when the motor is out of the car.
Whether it's worthwhile to put the old motor and transmission back in just for the privilege of driving for another week until your other parts arrive is strictly up to you.

PS-Got a bicycle? Rollerskates? Public transportation?

Ok, but the thing is will I still be able to drive it without the Si ECU or injector resistor box?
Thanks

Oh yea I work 10 miles away on U.S. 19 which is a very bisy highway.
I live in Spring Hill where we have no public transportation is a suburb.
And I am kinda gettin tired of asking friends to give me rides everywhere.lol

you'll be able to drive it if you throw your dx intake mani and all that on the si engine...
