Bucking engine

I saw one of the posts below about low idle. I have the same problem, but the engine bucks...causing me to have to give it gas to fix. One time it totally stalled, then I restarted, and it continued with the bucking, again stalling...causing me to have to give it gas as I start it. (only happens during cold starts)

This is what happened today: I came to a light after 1/2 mile of starting the car, put it in neutral and the RPMs jumped from the normal 800/900 area to a constant 1500. It was like the gas pedal was stuck but it wasn't.

Is this the typical idle problem with these cars?

Any fixes?

You may need to reset your idle speed. Try sr20.net on a "how to". Post back if you find anything that works! :)
