hey everyone,
to be honest, i have a 300zx not a honda/acura. i was just fairly sure everyone went here since it is honda/acura. but anyway, to the point now; i hate the 300zx tail lights and want to do a conversion to 2001 Honda Accord tail lights. But i have no idea on how to do a 300zx taillight to accord taillight conversion. can someone please tell me how to reference me to a web site or person or just a book. some please help!!! thanks. later

lots of cash and a good body shop that is even capable of being able to do the swap is a must.

To tell you the truth, I have never heard of anyone doing that conversion, but Ill see if I can help.

I think you should get the 2 door taillights, I think they would fit better to the 300zx just because of the way they are designed.

To do this conversion, just like esp said, LOTS of cash will be needed, so be prepared to spend a few grand, cus it could easily be that much.

I think the first step is finding a shop that will do it and has done conversions before, you dont want your car to be the guinea pig.

i see tail light conversions from the stock style to a different car model's lights all the time. but my question is though, how do i do it or where/who can show/teach me how? i am not interested in going to a body shop to do it, I want to do the fabrication myself. but does anyone know where i can see or learn how it is done? thanks.

u see conversions all the time, please explain this....

i would never do the conversion myself because u realise that you gotta cut and weld and bondo and paint and much much more to make it look good. if places charge like a few grand to do this do you really think that you can do this yourself?

Actually I was referring specifically to the accord taillight conversion on the 300zx, yeah of course people have done conversions before.

actually yeah i do think i can if i knew how it was done. i went to trade school for welding and welding techniques. the actual execution of the project isnt the problem, it is knowing how to actually do a conversion like this is the problem. is there anyone out there will actually help me?

all u need is a electirc saw an some bondo, as far as wiring goes thatll be the tricky part but any one can put the tailights in itll just take alot of money or if u want to do it urself a lot of time

I think that the previous post conveyed the fact it's going to cost *a lot* of money already...

Yeah, I say save yourself the time and the hassle and get it done right the first time.

hey everyone i have a new question. i am big into show stopper vehicles and want to make my 300zx into one and that is partially the reason why i wanted to do the accord tail light conversion. i will get to the point and question now and let you read the quyick background reason why later if you want to read it. should i do the 2001 accord taillight conversion or should i just keep the standard 300zx fairlady taillights i have on there now? i am including two pictures of that tail lights just so you have an idea of what they look like in case you hadnt already.

now for the background part for those of you who want to read it. i want to do this accord taillight conversion cuz as i said before, i am big into the show stopping customization. and on the middle rectangular trunk part of the accord taillights i wanted to make that slide out only and have two turntables and a mixer on it. however then i noticed i could do that with the taillights now and include a couple extra things in the slide out drawer piece with the dj equipment. i was just never a huge fan of the z32 300zx taillights but i have sort of grown into liking them somewhat. i just still saw this though as another challenge and another customization to draw attention towards the car.

that is it. here are the pics. people please reply. thanks. later.

i tried attaching two pictures at once but found out it wouldnt let me. so here is the other pic of the taillights. i know it isnt as good as quality as the other one but still shows what needs to be seen.
