I have an oil leak on my 98 gixxer 6 on the left side where the stator coil cover is, the oil leak isn't bad but is noticeable...anyways, the gasket is in good shape, what could I put on top of the gasket to make a better seal and fix the oil leak issue...would you use gasket maker (liquid gasket) or would you use gasket sealer...I'm having a bit of trouble finding out which one should be used, if the gasket is in good shape and it doesn't need to be repalced, then what product would be used a gasket sealer or a gasket maker (I know putting gasket maker over top of another gasket sounds foolish but I'm not sure which one you should use, they both seam to prevent leaks), hopefully someone can help, thanks.

have you bought a new gasket yet, or does the old one just appear to be in good shape. are you also positive that is where the oil is leaking from?
