Another one of those laying-around kits I wanted to finish badly to make room.

Didnt' turn out too bad.

Decals clearcoated for the first (and the last) time.

Thanks for the replies.

As for the clearcoating is concerned, I do believe it gives a nicer , cleaner job, but at what costs?

I spent about 3 mist coats on the body to get it right, but then did one fat coat, and all was oké...

Then I realised I forgot to CC the wing, so I thought 3 mist coats is a bit too safe, as nothing cracked on the body, so I sprayed one mist and one fat coat on the wing....

Result ===> it started cracking up my decal, and I had to sand it, and take out the cracks by sanding, and had almost to repaint the whole decal, because it had cracks all over it .

So, probably the last time I clearcoat, I m just not patient enough!

It turned out quite well for a "My God! My kit stacks are taller than me so I better finish something soon or else I'll be buried alive" job. I rather like it.

Also, I'm glad you've come to the conclusion that you aren't going to clearcoat decals anymore. It's less accurate, you know, unless it was a painted marking on the actual car.
