idleing rough

i got a 96 2.4 z24 and it seems fine when im driving it but when its idled it kinda chugs along and idles kinda rough... any idea what this could be from?

i would replace fuel filter and clean your injectors

lets say i was to take it to a performance shop and spend the money on a major tune up. do they do that when they give it a tune up?

A major tune up would be a start. That will include, spark plugs, pcv, ignition wire set, fuel filter and an air filter. Fuel injection service will be on top of that. If you haggle with the shop, they might give you a discount since you are doing the tune up. Good Luck.

You might also run a code scan and see if there are any trouble codes which might help point to the source of your problem.
