How2 Cup holder

Aight, i was going thru crx'z on cardomain.. and i came by this.. and i know that u guyz and gals been lookin for some kinda solution to yer probz.. here ya go and good luck ! :bigthumb:

Got two. :) 99 ITR center console.
Any 94+ Console from a manual transmission will fit pretty well in a 4th gen.

But not in a 90-91 sedan cuz we have the stupid belt rolls and auto seat belts in the middle and the console won't fit :mad:

What I did was hang my $0.99 cup holder in my ash try...Occasionally I get a splash going on and have to wipe shit up, but I see the same happening with Integra cupholders :bloated:

doesnt your hand hit your cup holder when you shift?

and my cup holder is either my legs, inbetween my e-brake and passenger seat..or if i have the drinks where i can close them again..i let it roll on the floor

Sometimes..but only in 1st, cuz I have the cupholder as far to the left in the ashtray as I can get it....the car was in 1st gear in this shot, and as you can see, doesn't quite touch the cupholder, but it is kind of a pain to get my fingers around it. The shifter is a B&M "Edge" short shifter which has a straight shaft - and it puts the shifter too close to the dash...notice how far froward it is in the shifter boot/hole. However, it is steel like the stock shifter. When I swap the engine, I will either, 1. heat up the shifter and bend it back some like most 4g shifters, or 2. get another bent shifter like I had (but not another OBX that was aluminum and broke on me :frown: )

ha ha ha...knowing me when i drive a stick car, i would shit so hard i would probably break the cup holder...or my hand

with the integra console and cup holders there's pleanty of room between the cup holders and the shifter... will be no breaking of anyones hand!

Yeah..one of the few shortcomings of the sedan :(:(:(:( not having a nice console like the 94 Integara to fit :bloated::biggrin2:

That's pretty slick. I've thought about doing something similar before (transplanting a retractable cup-holder), but it's nice to see that someone has actually done it with decent results.

that's exactly what I do with my stuff to. I put it between the ebrake and the seat but I've pulled the ebrake a couple times and spilled everywhere..

but the crx console is still sweet looking in my car !:bigthumb:

It just amazes me how well the teggy console lines up, it took me a little bit of time but I got it almost lined up perfect, and it still lines up good even after my knee slammed into it in a wreck a couple days ago. I'm pretty sure Eric was the first person to come up with this console, CWBETB I remember 2 years ago when I joined the board he was like the only person who had it, now almost everyone knows about it or has it, I've seen a couple other cars that might work but I don't have the cash to try them out. My teg console's missing the piece around the shifter but I"m going to make one out of billet aluminum.

I have a teg console in my Si, and the shifter comes no where near the cupholder. Sux when your on the turnpike, and you need change, because you have to take the drinks out to use the coin/ash tray. lol

I also have a fizz cupholder, it clips into my center vent. Good for holding anything like a can, or smaller. Sucks, because Im addicted to Lipton Ice Tea (sweetened, no lemon thank you), and the stupid bottle doesnt fit in either of the 3 cup holes. Fuckers....

When you guys got the teg console, did you cut it to make it fit, or just put it in as is? I drilled holes in mine to line up with the existing mounts, and its pretty damn close, but Id like to make it better at some point.

I just drilled holes in mine but I'm going to try to cut the back off of it so it lines up with the back of the dash part. Guess I'll just use a really fine toothed hacksaw and like so 800 grit sandpaper.

I think the onli teg console that can fit in the 90-91 sedan is the 91 integ. Because they have the rolling seat belts too... just that it doesnt come with an arm rest. So therefore... its pretty useless.

The armrest was an option man. My grandparents have a 1990 teggy sedan and it has the armrest. It looks alot like the armrest that was an option for our cars.

i cut mine so its flush with the other section. i also wrapped all three pieces in one huge piece of black vinyl. it looks dope.

those cheap Type R vent cup holders work pretty good. I have one of those and my teg console and I never use the ones in the console. Love the armrest on it though!:biggrin:
