WRC Focus Progress....(lots of pics)

Hey
This is my 2nd kit ever! and im pretty happy with this one so far!

It is a WRC focus but i wanted it more as a street/race look...so i lowed it and painted it gold (Tamiya TS-21)

I was going to make a intercooler but it wouldnt fit becuase the body mounts so close to the chassis so i removed the radiator and replaced it with a scratch built cooler:

At first I thought: "Ehh, another racecar made street, that's gonna look funny." Then I saw the radiator/intercooler swap and I thought "That's gonna look weird." But then I saw it all together. Looks mean. And honestly, that crazy crossing bar action ahead of the intercooler is totally boss, as far as I'm concerned. I like it! The only thing I'd do different is change the wheels, the block tread doesn't belong on an DOT leagal car (in any country).

Definately keep the 2nd set of rims, they match the car perfect. It's kinda hard to decide on the headlights since I haven't seen them not blacked out, but they look fine to me right now. Awesome paint and detailing. Looks way better than what most race cars turned to street cars look like.

That thing is nice mate!! Second set of rims fit it like a glove.....Im looking forward to seeing more progress

I like the rims on the Pug, too. Those rock. I'd kill the shine on the center with some dullcoat though, to kive them a little contrast. Otherwise, those are beautiful. I'm wishy washy on the lights, though. Rockin' car!

Ok Ok those last pics didnt do justice and im having trouble capturing the true colour of the paint so here are a few more:
I just put the front lights in (not glued) and also the mirrors

I went off a tutorial in the FAQ section (i pretty much choped the springs and then heated up the suspension arm and made the whole assembaly fit!

Rear end i lowed a bit more ( i felt the rear end was sitting to high compared to the front.
Lights have been instaled and i painted the wheels chrome!

But first i have to finish my R32 GT-R that i got from the guy that works at my LHS

he finished it but broke the windows while sanding the body......dont ask how :rolleyes:

Anyone know if i can get tamiya GT-R windows? :confused:

well i personally prefer the original colour of those wheels but the chorme one are not bad .. but it's just a person perfernence and anyway it's very nice and eye catching model.. :bigthumb:

the color.. the paint.. the whole setup is just sick (sick in the best way).. dude great work. the whole thing fits perfect... mmm

I think that seller is the former Helenspirit (someone correct me if im wrong), who ripped people off for a lot of models, me personally. Some dude Emailed me and said he bought like 40 models and some RC cars and never recieved any of them. Just a Caution :bigthumb:

I'm pretty sure that's Sanxler. Do a search on his name on the forum to find out for sure.

Im going to order 1 model (the porsche) and see how it goes and if it all turns out fine i will order a couple more.
