I'm looking at a 1992 honda prelude, I believe its called the s coupe or soemthin like that because it is the base model. It has 145k on the odometer. I need to know any common problems with this car from this high of milage. What kind of engine maintenance might be needed (i.e. timing belts) due to milage. It has power windows, power sunroof, power mirrors, but not power door locks. I also need to know around what milage suspension compenents may need replacement (i.e. struts). It has a fresh set of rubber, a very nice vibrant paint, and a very wel taken care of interior. It has an after market cd player but it wouldn't turn on. They are wanting $5,000 and it may be gone quick so I need ansers as fast as you can give 'em.
Thanks in advance.

a good engine, properly taken care of will usually live past 200K... My friend had a 1993 lude with 140K and this is what he ran into. He first noticed that about once he got to about 160K the car was not as responsive or "powerful" as before. Since the owner before nvr used synthetic oil before it was too late to switch over and he was forced to change to QS High mileage. That restored everything back to the way it was before. The he changed timing belt, had to change some different hoses b/c of signs of wear and tear. At about 200K, the car started to leak and burn oil. Nothing major but still a problem. Then my friend wanted to get into tuning, since 200K is high to add any form of forced induction he decided to rebuild his engine. To tell u the truth honda engines seem to be very reliable and last long. Unless u want to get into tuning it can last u well into 200K. And is the suspension original or has to been replaced or anything?
