Ok so here's the deal, I'm new to the site and dont yet have an integra so I appologize ahead of time if I ask any stupid questions.

My situation:
I just blew the tranny on my MX-6 and its not worth fixing. I'm gonna have about $9000 to spend on a car by the end of the summer before I go back to school.

Is the gsr worth the money or should I try buying an LS and then saving up for a turbo? And if I go the LS route how difficult is the install...can my basic mechanic make the upgrade?

Thanx for your help guys

I'd say for 9k, just buy a nice GS-R w/ lowish mileage for like 8k, then spend that extra 1k on intake/exhaust. Then a month later or whenever you've got the cash, put on headers.

You'd be pretty good w/ that, and all those are simple to install bolt-ins. GS-R packs nice enough power stock, and w/ i/h/e, you'll be good :)

edit:

well, looks like you dont have too many car dealers/owners up there in carmel, but i did see this nice LS w/ only 44k mileage, leather int etc for 8900

Thanx Config...yeah I think ur right about the GSR I started talking to a couple of mechanics around my area about the turbo idea....none of them really wanted to tackle it...also I like the idea of having a fast car straight out of the box...I'm gonna start checking out autotrader and some other sites
