Here is the progress of my HB I have been working on, it seems to be going together better than my freekin' coupe anyway. I am building this turbo utilizing what I learned on project Del Sol type R Turbo, I am going more detailed this time as well. I am going for the JDM look with a little american "flare" of my own, hope you like.

This really shows off the V-tec controller, DVD/Computer screen, and handpainted scratchbuilt gauges. a monster tach is also awaiting install

No pics of the body yet as it is just wearing the optional side skirts and rear apron right now and it's all primered. I have to wait until the rest of the car is together so I can make an entirely custom front end to fit over the very thick intercooler. The factory bumper is WAY off. The turbo got all plumed up last night so I will take pics soon, I even made an impressive HKS style blow off valve that you guys will love!!!

Yes it is HUGE, but that is for the HUGE shot it would recieve (in the real world of corse) I have seen bottles bigger than this in real life, the more NOS, the better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well not all the time, there is a high possibilty of blowing ur motor or something else. But so far ur car looks nice!!!!!!:iceslolan

Only if you hook it up worng to the motor and if your motor is not built for it! Trust me, if you build the motor right you can run one hell of a shot of NOS, it's all about the TUNING!!!!!!!

Not much of a fan of these kind of cars, but yours is definaltely one of the better build specimens.

I used 1/8 (I am pretty sure this is the size I used) styrene tubing, cut it and just carefully worked it how I wanted it. Patience is the key when working with styrene this small.

Mean_B16 you do know that N.O.S. is a company called Nitrous Oxide Systems Incorporated? N.O.S doesnt refur to Nitrous Oxide it's self. the reason I'm saying something is because it sounds like you think N.O.S means Nitrous Oxide. If you are making the tanks Nitrous Oxide

Thanks for the "technical" observation, but NOS is just the "coined" term of Nitrous now even if you are not runnning the COmpany NOS. I am aware of all this, My daily grind is running a performance shop and I sell NX kits (Nitrous Express). I just used the term loosly cause everybody knows what "NOS" is. If you ever go to shows, you will see a LOT of custom painted bottles, no lables. I just like it body colorerd cause it flows nicely. Thanks for the input though.

To DarkTemptation3: The body color is the color of the engine bay, I just have to get some body work done on it.

I scratch built the turbo and waste gate, I just used picutres from import magazines and made the styrene to the desired shape. Thats cool that you are working on one also, post some pics so I can see. I should have more pics up soon, I am pretty much done plumbing the turbo now I just have to make the front bumper fit around the HUGE intercooler.

Yes that is pretty much what it is, the "Dump pipe" comes off the waste gate but I made it exit this way because it is something I have never done and I like how it looks on the cars I have seen it on.

looks good. have a question? how did you do the vents in front of the rear well and in the front fenders? would like to do something like this on the HB i am doing. also do you have and pics on hoe you built the turbos? here is the AWD TWIN TURBO V6 civic hb "from hell"http://public.fotki.com/customminatures/civic_hatchback/

The vents are scratch built, (for the rear 1/4 panel) I just cut out the shape I wanted and then put in a flat piece of styrene in the middle, pretty easy really. The front fenders are just cut out and shaped buy a hobby knife and the famous ol' #11 blade.

as far as the turbos the best pics I have are before I painted it.

love it. everything came together on this one, its HOT. all the custom work is SICK; excellent execution. love the color scheme. the devorced wastegate dump- HOT. as mentioned there could be some minor touch up here and there, but nothing to pick about. its still a jaw dropper! here you even get one of these :eek2:

Yes I heated it, I use a lighter quite a bit on my model desk :naughty:
The headers just cames together very nicely this time, I was just patient and glued all four pieces together for the end result.
