I finally bought it after seeing the show ages ago on Cartoon Network.
I didn't mind the English dub but after listening to the Japanese dub i can no longer stand it. I dunno why i just have to watch all my anime in Japanese.
The show is hilarious.
(i bought the Legit copy from Amazon. Ya know the Pioneer one)
I bought Tenchi Muyo GXP too that was a bit of a wierd one but funny none the less.
(from ebay)

I really -- really -- really like Tenchi, BUT....
Cartoon network really played the hell out of that show and it burned me out on watching it. :bricks1:
So I havent watched anything about Tenchi since CTN stoped playing it. Also the other thing I dont really care for are the different versions of Tenchi thru the different series. Each one being that he meet the girls in different ways. It hard to keep track of the story lines that way, IMHO.

yea apparently there is a manga comic series that follows the original OAV
Tenchi GXP follows the OAV but its a bit too over the top.
Tenchi Universe was alright but cuz i saw the OAV i wasn't impressed.
Tenchi in Tokyo - didn't like the story much and i am not sure about the new character and probs.
The movies sound like they follow the OAV but not sure
I should check www.animeondvd.com to see if it does.

My brother has all the Tenchi stuff and I like it. I've seen all of it and I think it's a great show. I never watched the stuff on Cartoon Network because A) It was being played out and B) It looked hella dumb.

I got the Manga that follows on. It seems that Tenchi Universe was a re-writen version of the Manga.
The Manga is quite good altho i hate VIZ for its shit translation, the lines are all that great and you can tell easily where they've messed up. (Bath Scene where Tenchi has noise bleed and sinks - Viz wrote he's trying to escape)
Light Hawk Wings translated into something like Eagle sword or something - they have two different translations too so they've set two different meanings when there is only infact one.
Interesting though. I got used to reading subtitles that were incomplete so i tend to just make it up whilst reading it. Although it seems quite short. Got through two books which were like collections of about 10 comics (i think) in an hour and a half.
