...don't they just screw in the same way you took the old ones out?

PepEscobar

are we talking about installing them in the fenders? i never had them in the fender to begin with

moleodonuts

ohhh, so you need to drill new holes I take it? yea I want to do that, but haven't done it yet. I'd assume its a matter of tracing the cuts onto your fender where you need them and then drilling them with a bit intended for sheet metal... but like I said, I've never done this before :licka:

don't they just pop in and out in the 91's?

moleodonuts

he's saying there is no sidemarker originally on the car where he's putting this.... i think :bloated:

moleodonuts
07-17-2003, 02:32 PM

PepEscobar

i know there are plenty of universal side markers you can get. that way you don't have to cut holes or anything, you can just use 3m tape.

moleodonuts
07-18-2003, 11:37 AM
I'd feel kinda ghetto with 2-sided tape on my car tho. with no holes how do you run the 12V to it btw?

sp3cial_bl3nd
07-18-2003, 11:47 AM
you'll just have to tap into your brake lights.

moleodonuts
07-18-2003, 12:19 PM
hmm, I'm still a fan of drilling a hole in my fender

sp3cial_bl3nd
07-18-2003, 12:38 PM
you'll have to in order to get to your brake light wire.

moleodonuts
07-18-2003, 12:50 PM
no no, while I'm at it, I'm going to drill for the entire assembly b.c I'mg getting Si-R II sidemarkers for my civic. None of the other EGs had sidemarkers. Gonna have to run some wire too, b.c they're on the front end of the civics

07-18-2003, 01:06 PM
Sounds to me like you've got it all figured out.. so i'm gonna shut up and go :boink:

Well...I guess I will attempt to keep this thread on track. I would suggest you not use a drill to put the holes in the fender. Sheet metal tears like crazy with regular drill bits. I just put Audi A4 marker lights in my 4g civic fenders. I used a dremel tool. This allows you to be very precise. (you will need to be...trust me) Any spot that is wrong, and your light will sag. I dont know why you would want to tap into the brake light wires like stated earlier. Try the blinker...that makes more sense to me. On my 4g, I had to wire to the bumber light, because the corner light, although it does blink, stays on when the headlights are on.
Hope this is helpful.
