I'll settle this argument.

Ireland and England both suck. Hence the colonisation of New Zealand and Australia.

There, happy? :thefinger

Hmmm.....which children's book did you read that in?
Crows inhabit anywhere they want to, including city centres if there is enough food to eat.....

I wont disagree ray but any sport that promotes a man sticking his hand and head between another mans legs has got to be plain wrong.

I blame Tony blair for the deterioration in todays youth's ability to plan any sort of game reasonably.

I heard that the English Cricket team is getting good. There's a novelty for you a good Cricket team.

Personally, I blame the parents, XBox, PS2 and all the other game consoles, parents buy the damn things and don't encourage the kids to go out and do something constructive.

yea but compared to Plano High Schools (TX, USA) they have no incentive at schools to get good at sports whereas in Texas if they get good they get scholarships and no one does that in england.
No to mention that the schools aren't well funded for sports and most primary schools don't even do proper sports and PE (Sports) lessons are a waste of time don't low activity sports.

There are sports clubs. I will admit my school in the UK didn't exactly offer much in the way of sports but my Dad still took me down Charlton FC's junior soccer program to learn to play the game.

Schools in SA on the other hand make it mandatory to play at least one sport summer and winter.

What the hell is wrong with hurling? I take it you have watched it Ray. Hurling is a great sport, apparently one of the fastest ball and stick games in the world. Although give me a game of Gaelic Football anyday now thats a sport you can be proud of. Hard hitting shoulder to shoulder. Played both as a kid and much prefered Gaelic football.

Dammit Ciaran, you need to relax, not everyone is attacking your nationality, you should be grateful people outside of Ireland know what Hurling is

Yes I know of the sport, I have watched it several times and it's one tough ass game to play, unfortunately it doesn't get recognised too much outside of your borders.

Hell, you make fun of Rugby and I don't get bent out of shape, but I mention one of your national sports and your boxers are lodged around your lugholes.

You need to relax bud, not everyone that jokes about Ireland is attacking you, if you haven't realised yet, I have a lot of respect for your country.

Your damn right dont mess with us....:icon16: only messin....but hurling is a hard ass sport. I played it for one season and was sick of missing a following weeks training or match cause of different injuries.....the other thing is though although it might not look like it, it is highly skillful. You ever get a chance you try flicking up a sliotar while standing still.....then try it while its travelling over 50mph on the ground while someone else is hacking at you with their hurl...not easy I can tell you.

Ooooookayyyyyy Ray I was completely relaxed I think we have crossed wires again. I was just wondering what you meant by and I qoute "Hurling?".....now in all fairness Ray you could have explained a little more. If you read my post when people were getting their knickers in a twist about Canada I actually made the point about people slagging of Ireland that to be honest it doesnt bother me and I actually believe a lot of people are at least a little jealous about Ireland. I think if you knew me in person then you would know I am actually a very relaxed person and I love more the anyone else a bit of banter. The whole internet forum thing will lose alot of a persons real personality and I am sure you will understand that. Maybe then its me that needs to change??????

The reason hurling or Gaelic football isnt recognised else where is beacuse its an amateur sport and unfortunately it will stay that way until such time as the anally retentive gimps that run the GAA (Gaelic Athlethic Association) open their minds a little. Although if it ever did become an international sport then the chances are we would be beaten at it (See Ray I can just as easily slag ourselves off!!!!).

Ciaran

PS Ray I never got bent out of shape or anything close to it and if I was to slag (and by that i mean friendly banter) someone about a sport or anything else then I expect them to do like wise. Im not one of those dickheads that goes around taking the piss out of everyone and then get offended when someone slags me. A little insight to my personality for you.
