embarrassing rearview mirror question

my 1988 325ic's rear view mirror was lethally bumped off the windshield, mount and all. i think it separates into at least two pieces for re-installation, but that's all i can figure out. any help out there?

if you go to Autozone, Advance auto parts, they sell this epoxy glue that can glue your mirror back in place.

i've got the epoxy already. but i still need help figuring out what part of the mirror can be disassembled, glued to the window, and then re-assempled.
