well i got her started, oil looks like a milk shake but its running. carbon all over the plugs. its shooting out a 3 and 9 code, now i know whhat a 9 is but WTF is 3? manifold absolute pressure is what???

that's one of the sensors on your manifold, Probably bad due to the water in the intake... try replacing it.

I would suggest an oil change before anything, running your car with crap oil is gonna hurt it. Shouldn't be too surprised about the MAP sensor, considering your intake manifold was probably flooded with water. It was probably impossible to not break the MAP senson. Probably need a new one, and they aren't cheap from what I've seen.

I thought code 9 was something to do with your distributer.. I think thats what mine was throwing when I had to replace the dizzy.
Just off the top of my head I thought that code had something to do with that.

Code 9 (9 flashes) No. 1 cylinder position (1.6L)
Thats the one I had when my distributer seized and fell apart on itself..
Code 3 or 5 Manifold absolute pressure
MAP sensor. Good luck finding one.. Try one off a D16A or something!? :confused:
