hey i was tryong to purchase an engine and i was wondering what exactly obd does, on board diagnostics, and if i get an ecu wthout it what ewill happen????

i mean what is non-obd?

its a NON-OBD PR3 OR PW0 ECU

will that be okay to put into my 90 civic dx?

would it be better to get an engine with a OBD-0 PR3 ECU?

thanks guys,

OBD0 and non-obd is the same thing. OBD is a standard of sensors and things that control emissions, and in general, how the car runs. a more advanced OBD generation is harder to tune, but will have lower emissions and in general, more complex sensor setup.

to a tuner's point of view, OBD0 is probably the best, then OBD1. OBDII is very hard to tune, and anything newer than that, is impossible.

PR3 and PW0 are both non-OBD. There is no use putting one in your DX unless you have a B16A.
