Man I tell ya that this is definately not a good year for me. I have a post from earlier today about the console I got from the junk yard, but I couldn't tell you guys my story or get the pics taken because of this obstacle that I am facing.
Last night I get home from work around 1 a.m. and I really wasn't feeling right. I just felt really weird. I parked my car behind my brother's with a small distance between us. I went in the house and got settled and went to sleep. My mom comes in the house from work about 7:20am and says "GET UP AND LOOK AT YOUR CAR" I hop up from my bed and my pass. door is open along with my trunk. They got me.
This is in my Prelude (of course the Civic has a blown head) They busted the window, ripped my radio and part of the console out, stole my TWO amps, my crossover, my TWO 12" JL audios, my cd changer, the few cd's I had in the car, and they tried to get the rims but couldn't. My total loss was $1300 + my hard work and my time I put into that system. I am so mad. I just give up.
I went to the junkyard for my window and between stops (they take around the yard to find cars & parts) I saw lots of 4g civics, 94+ integras, everything. So I got a few parts along with my window.
I am actually thinking about just selling my civic and sticking with my Lude, because in this neighborhood there's alot of haters. I really don't want to bring my Civic over here to my moms and they get to messing with it also.
SORRY FOR THE LONG POST, it is late (here anyways) I have to go to work in the morning, and I will have the pics of the console later on. I will also try to get pics of my car posted in case someone wants to buy it. (It's still at my old place & I am too lazy to go get it:lol: )

Hey man, I know this may not help, but I seriously feel your pain. I had hours and hours of work put into my system, and it got stolen. I got it back, and 6 months later, it was gone again. Insurance only paid for 300 when it was worth 1600. I was so mad, but listen, if you need anything (i.e kenwood 1000 amp) or any parts or anything let me know, and Ill see what I can do.

and this is the reason why i stripped out my hatch and sold my stereo. i was tired of thieves stealing it becuase, unless you park in a locked garage, your shit WILL get stolen.
Now if somebody is stupid enough to break into a civic with nothing in the back of it, they are stupid indeed.

Its always nice to have a dog that barks at its own shadow. If you want to know when someone is in your yard or driveway....get a sheltie and keep him in the house. Mine attempts to kill anything that makes the security light come on.

Annother thing that really helps is a monitoring system. I have 2 closed circut cameras watching my crx's hooked up to my pc recording when im not home or asleep. Helped nab the last guy who broke my window:wink: and stole my stereo. I took the cd to the police station and they gladly arrested my 17 yr old neighbor duche bag POS.

I gotta agree with everybody here and say theives Suck Huge Ass. But Look on the Bright side at least No One was hurt in the Process. Too many time do I hear about people Finding theives in the process of stealing and the Owner get's Shot or stabbed in the Process.
Did you have an alarm ? and if So what kind ?
I have been Lucky so far and have not run into have any of my car stuff stolen... yet anyways.
To prevent this from happening again I sugest getting a Good alarm system, Like the Viper Systems, Having multiple sirens, Multiple sensors, and a backup batterie. also not having it installed in the usual spots.
Like my buddy has the Alarm Brain installed in his Trunk, and no on would know where to look to find it. He has one siren in the hood (in plain view but if you cut the wires it goes off because it has a battery in it... you need a key to shut it off if it's not hooked up) but also has one Under the dash, and one in the trunk... and this is not to mention the ammount of sensors he has... glass breakage, proximity, shock (2x)... ect

Sorry to hear about it T-mo...
My car's been broken into more times than I can count. Usually, when I park my car in front of the house (which is where I always park it), it's lit up really well at night, but it seems like every time someone forgets to turn on the spotlights, or the bulbs burn out or something, that's when people mess with it. Also, if I forget to arm the alarm system, or for whatever reason there's no alarm system in the car, something happens. So, I would recommend that you keep your cars well illuminated, and for gods sake, make sure you've got an alarm installed in them.
It's a shitty shitty feeling when someone breaks into your car, and I always just want to find ways to hurt the culprits, and I get mad as hell, but when it comes right down to it, you realize that there's just nothing you can really do about it after the fact. So the best course of action is to try and deter would-be thieves from messing with your stuff... don't make it easy for them.

Thanks to everyone for the advice. To answer some ??'s No I didn't have an alarm. Which is crazy because I am used to my other neighborhood. Not trying to sound racist or whatever but, I stayed in a hood with majority white older people, now I am around alot of young black wanna be thugs that love to floss in heavy chevy's and oldsmobile on extremely big rims. I hate it. The good thing about it is that the police officer gave me alot of advice and she hooked me up with one of her friend on an alarm. She's helping me get the Viper alarm ($1000 retail?) for $350. I don't know much about alarms, but is that a good deal? She told me to get my gun license, and to call the police whenever I see suspicious activities. She was one of the coolest policemen i've dealt with.

You made a good point because we have a carport and that light had went out and that's when they decided to come and get my stuff. So they probably had been waiting for me to slip for awhile now. I definately will be getting an alarm. I have been through alot lately but I am trying very hard to keep my head up. Thanks guys.

Dude... Viper Alarms don't cost 1000$
I have a viper 280Hf and it retails for 199 CND (uninstalled), With add-ons it May retail for 350$.... Now Go to the local Best Buy and talk to those guys about an alarm.

damn, fucking people these days cant respect anything anymore..thus one of the reaons why I dont think I really wanna get a hooked up car, then you have people being your friends, that would of never gave you the time of day before..a buddy of mine was telling me how when he had his mustan, expensive system, rims, body kit I mean it was the works, well he went to a party and there were a few bad eggs there, when he left I guess they followed him back to his house..and he said like about two weeks later he was sleeping..and he hears fire sirens, and someone knocking on his door..answers the door, and it was the fire fighter, and he asked him if this was his car..pointed to the car..rims were stolen, no body kit, no stereo system everything was gone..and the car was torched..this was about two years ago and maybe just this past month, he found out who did it..he said if he would ever see the kids again, he would knock them out, and torch their car..sorry it was long but it was a lot to type.

I know bestbuy, circuit city, etc has them. She had the one where on the keyring, it showed if someone was touching, entering, what part of the car they were messing with and it vibrates when it is warning you of these things.

those alarms are great only problem with them is that they only work like 300yrds (if that) from the car. I personaly don't use one because I don't see the need.
the basic principle behind an alarm is to draw attention to the car when it's broken into Via Sirens & lights. since theives don't like drawing attention to themselves they 1. try to rip the alarm out 2. run away.
Now if the alarms is properly installed and well hidden 1. no longer becomes an option.
The system I usualy recomend for our customers is a Viper 280hf with the Glass break module, a Backup battery, and a Key lock siren.
typical theives will try 3 things to disable an alarm 1. rip out the Brain (if they can find it) 2. rip out siren 3. disconnect the battery.
this setup takes care of option 2 & 3... How well it's installed takes care of Number 1. ( key lock siren is a unit that can replace or be added in addition to the stock siren in the kit, it installs like a regular alarm however incorporates a little addon security feature, if the wires are clipped it will still go off, it has a built in battery and will only stop if a key is inserted in the alarm housing or the battery dies. )
Now if the theives use a flatbed (like what most likely happened to Marked001 with His civics) weither you have a) the expensive pager type alarm or b) a High quality alarm or c) a walmart alarm your still screwed.
well that's my .02$ worth
