please help it either my 5.0L or a 2.4L

I Had bought a ran down trans am/firebird from some guy for $300 it runs and everything but it wont idol and needs some engine work now i need a site or some kinda help on where i can buy the engine parts and how i could fix this stuff its a 1985 trans am and if i cant get it restored in enought time then i am stuck with a 2.4L grand am witch i realllly dont want :frown: so please any help would be great by the way i am only a teenager so im looking for the cheapest way to restore this car

That would be a Third Generation Firebird, if your looking for a site with pretty good info, go to www.thirdgen.org they have some pretty good tech stuff and also a message board. the people there should be able to give you some advice that should be able to help you restore it.

However, you said that it cost you only 300 bucks, just be ready to lay out more then 300 bucks to get the thing running and looking good again.

Are you going for stock or to set up for future mods?
