Nice, I like the seats. They look like they have way more padding than mine. And btw the WU8 is the SS option code.:bigthumb:

Any SLP options?? There would be a slp sticker on the passenger door listing the items if so.

Auto's are the way of high-powered street/strip cars. Much cheaper to make the tranny strong, much more consistent, and if worked properly, they'll shift faster than any of you ever will in your manual:smile:

What year did the air intake on the SS change? I have only seen the engine on my 96 and the air filter is sitting right below the hood scoop, and is visible just buy popping the hood. Anyone know the reason for this change?

CamaroSSboy... love the car. Nice color too. One thing i hate is when all the people knock the car for it being an auto... little do they know that the auto LS1 is just as fast if not faster than some 6spds(given driver error) Ive seen an auto 02 35th LE Convertible SS run a 13.3, and not to mention the Pontiac mag ran their auto T/A CE to a 13.1.

Any SLP options?? There would be a slp sticker on the passenger door listing the items if so.

Appearance wise id say the Chrome SS wheels...
I was looking at a 2001 Camaro SS convertible... NBM(NavyBlueMetallic) that had a neutral top and neutral leather... Damn was it sweet... 1 of only 49 built that year... The thing i didnt like about it was that it looked like it was salvaged... Body was scratched... had alot of SLP options that the car no longer had.. And the price was too high for its condition

Its different to you because you have an LT1  now if you meant the LS1 where they changed to the blackwing lid... it was around aug/sep of 2002, I believe.

I was argueing with some guy in a Yahoo chat room who owned a WS6. He said WU8 stood for F-Body equipped with LS1. I orgionally thought WU8 was SS too.. (arguing over internet.. )

Some SLP parts are the wheels which i ordered this past fall. This car orgionally came equipped with the 10-spoke silver wheels. 3 of them were cracked.. so i ordered a pair of chrome 10-spokes.

Arrival of new rims :icon16:

Heres a pic of my car with old rims when I used to live in PA

Standard SS Options. RAM AIR hood, 3.23 rear end (dont know if thats an SLP option. Option code: GU5), SS Spoiler, SS Badges, SS 17X9 wheels/tires, and HD suspension components.

All of those are standard. Only SLP optioned cars have a SLP sticker on the passenger door listing options like bilstein shocks, auburn rear and aluminum diff cover etc. But the 3.23's are standard on the auto SS

Wow... Youre truly stupid... Hp/L ... No one gives a shit... The reason why American cars have lesser Hp/L is because of one thing INSURANCE and COST OF CAR!! You can squeeze 400hp/L out of that shitty Civic... Lets see if the people theyre marketed to sell to will buy it... I think not...
Oooh ahhh.... The Japs have better styling... Ooohhhh.... WHO GIVES A FYING FUCK? Nobody is going to change their opinion/mind just because one dickhead over the internet is quoting Consumers Digest or some shitty Car Magazine :thefinger :loser: :bloated:

Edit: This would have made more sense in the other thread... Oh well Gets the point across so :gives:

News flash Genious... the Camaro has a 5.7 liter V8... Aka a 350.

The difference between a 6L and a 5.7L V8 isn't a whole lot but its the same difference between say a B16 and B18.

yep i admit it your supreme intellect has once again triumphed supreme .. oh really that crap engine is 5.7 liter and not 6 liter.. oh hold the presses i didn't know that.. revision for the front page of the new york times.. oh my god oh my god i didn't know that..oh my oh my.. ...my cranium is about to spontaneously combust from your infinite wisdom of low tech engines.. oh my overload i'm becoming stupider.. brain cells self destructing..error error... does not compute.. okay now i'm as smart as you.. hope you feel better

actually if you want to nitpick about totally insignificant non issues.. the difference isn't the same ... .2 liter difference and .3 liter difference is not the same.. so how could someone as intelligent as you make such a contention.. .. plus the difference as a percentage when comparing the two illustrates your folly.. the difference between the b series analogy is 12% while the difference with the crappy engine analogy is 5% so on many levels your points are invalid... .. oh and if my IQ isn't high enough because you say so.. IT must be true.. oh i must go and lament my woes now you have humbled me great and wise master of the bation

Blah blah blah blah BLAH!!! You are one stupid f'kin troll!! You say the LS1 is a crappy engine? Dumbass... its one of the most technically advanced engines ever built... The 03 SVT Cobra motor is another engine that has had time and thought put into it, and dont be an idiot saying "All they did was add a supercharger :bloated: " If you truly think that you are in fucking denial... Stop being a stupid dick when it comes to american cars... if you dont like them... simply get the fuck out... Is that too hard for you? Ooooh the big bad magazines have credential... Wasnt it Motortrend that said the damn Mach 1 had the same engine based off a 95 Cobra R? WRONG DUMBASS!!! That shows how freakin brilliant they are... Right im going to believe some dumb magazine that sucks on BMWs and other import/euros dick rather than what i see with my own two eyes. Maybe we could all be little clones like you? Hmm? Nah, Id rather have my sanity than be wasting my time putting down cars I dont know half the shit about.... Which is what your ignorant ass is doing... Oooohhhh wise genius... as much as a fucking IQ you have... You still dont get it... NO ONE GIVES A FUCK!!!

Actually, i believe the fastest recorded Camaro was.. hm.. 12.68 i think driven by Evan Smith. Also, SCC's fastest time in the STi WRX was a 13.1
