I currently have a h22a engine in my prelude that needs replacing and I was thinking of putting in the type s h22a engine. now i currently redline at 7500 rpms or so the new engine redlines at 9000 rpm. what adjustments do i need to take into account for that. Is it possible to go from a 5 speed to a 6 speed tranny. thanks

NO cause they dont make 6 speed preludes. But yeh the engine is a str8 drop in. You might have to get it converted from obd1 to obd2 or get the jumper harness. IF you're gonna get rid of the motor let me know so my bro can take it off your hands.

the red line is the same. its definetly not worth it since it costs so much more. you could either rebuild yours most likely for cheaper depending on how bad it is. or if it really does need to be replaced just get a regular jdm h22 and build that with the $ you saved by not getting the type s engine and you will make more power than the type s. also if you want you could spend like 15k on a quaiffe 6-speed sequential tranny.

Which is pointless. Nothing cool about having a 6 speed.
