Scammer Arrested!

December of last year, I sent some kid in Rialto CA money for a GSR motor he had for sale. I spoke with him numerous times over email and telephone and he said that I should wire him $600 dollars and when I received the motor, I would COD the rest. We agreed to the deal and I wired him the money.

After that, I was not able to get back in touch with him for about three months. I had left several messages on his phone saying that I was going to go to the cops about this. I had already filed a police report in NJ and was in contact with police in CA. I finally got a call from his "supposed cousin" sayin he was in boot camp and he would try to get some money together to send my way. So I told the police in Rialto that I had solved it out. Turns out, I never got anything my way. After trying to get in contact with him or his cousin, I gave up and went to Rialto PD again.
So I called Rialto PD this past week and gave them all the information I have about him. (I saved all the emails and receipts of money transfer and everything)
I got a call yesterday sayin that they arrested the suspect. He was also charged with having done the same thing to three other people. I am glad that he got caught and hopefully now, I can get some or if not all, of my money back.

Good shit man! Never deal with ppl in Cali! Bunch of scandalous fucks! Sorry no offense on the cali members on this board but quite a few of my boys got ripped from cali.

Well im just sayin that theres alot of scandalous ppl there from what my boys deal with and ppl we talked to dealt with. SO if that makes cali a top notch then something is wrong here:wink:

Even if you don't get your $ back, at least you have some satisfaction/closure...

Again, this is another reason to only deal with REPUTABLE companies/individuals when buying big ticket items (engines, etc).

As always, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is...

yeah your right. it just feels good to know they got that bitch. and believe me, ive learned my lesson...

fwiw, ive dealt with many people from cali and this is the only bitch that ive had problems with... one bad apple doenst ruin the bunch in my eyes, just makes em more suspect

California's high population and seaports make it the most likely place to deal with an honest merchant or a scammer.
I've never been burned on eBay, even after 20 transactions. And I've never been burned buying or selling parts, so I consider myself fortunate.

well at least you will prolly get your money back from getting ripped by some ass, im glad they caught the guy.

hopefully ill see some reward from my lost bumper from last year soon enough.

I'm from L.A., & I know people from Cali are heartless, but some people are just dumb. That's just dumb to do shit like that and give a real name and address. I think it's totally wrong to cheat people, especially over the net. I feel for you man. I hope this doesn't sour you on all Cali people.

Well i know for sure theres good ppl in cali but since it happened to us 8 times from 8 different ppl, it just makes it harder to order or buy shit from cali unless they're known.

I see your point. I'm always afraid to buy from people on forums. I'd rather buy from people on ebay cuz, I feel that I have a lil' protection. Good Luck in the future.
