`32 Ford Highboy

I thought I would get some pictures of this up since I never posted it here. It was built pretty much box stock except for wiring and plumbing. I built this about 7-8 years ago, before I knew much about rubbing out a finish. I think it is just topped with 4 coats or so of testors high gloss clear enamel!

Cool, Detroit Locker wanted to buy that model, we saw it down at the hobby store but it was that or enough paint to finish 6 models, you do the math :rolleyes:

These cars really aren't to my taste, i prefer something more contemporary. You tend to see so many on the net and in model car mags too which gets a little boring IMHO. BUT I can sincerely say that this is one of the finest examples i've seen of it!

I like the wood theme on the sides of the car, wonder what happens if the termites get to it. And isn't a "Highboy" the car without the fenders?

I think you`re right Malcom. I looked at the box over the weekend, and it said "speedwagon" instead of highboy. I`m not sure where I got highboy from. :eek7: :confused: :screwy:

and what you think is contemporary will be in mags and on the net and also become pretty borring in a few months as well
