Some people (pro only) do get CF car bodys for stuff but sounds like BS. There was a C/F unibody for sale a bit ago online 9k.

Oh yeah? Well i've seen a Mclaren F1 before that could hover 8 feet above the air, go underwater, and had missile launchers that shot out from the side view mirrors.

i wasnt making that up ass.

the entire body of the car was CF, including the rims, only the engine, windows and tires, and lights were of a different material.

They do make CF hatches for the 5th and 6th gens, as well as CF trunk lids for a variety of cars...

The new MR2's bodypanels are held together with rivets rather than welds, so every panel can be replaced relatively easily with carbon fiber, and it's already been done...

body panels are held on with spot welds, drilling out a spot weld isn't much harder than drilling out a rivet, and it's the same process, but I guess rivets would save ya a little time in the end, that's pretty sweet that it comes like that though, My dad put all the body panels on his 65 GT mustang convertible using rivets and that was back in like 67 when he was 16. Guess he was an innovator, he did it because he broke his dad's welder and rivets were all he had.

the rivets on the MR2 are actually a weird sorta bolt. you can take all the panels off, and replace whatever you want with aftermarket parts. its cool as hell, just too bad that it comes only in convertible form and with a not so hot engine
