In quarter mile: 2001 Gsr Integra vs 2001 Imprezza 2.5 rs

The Integra GS-R should win. It's a heckuva lot lighter, and has more power. they typically are 5 tenths of a sec. faster 1/4 mile wise. Of course the driver is the key part.

You called?

At least this thread is actually talking about SOME kind of race...not asking for some more car advice like we're Comsumer Reports or something.

Although these kind of threads I do find somewhat useless...

Wait till |delaysion| gets here...he used to say that his 2.5TS wagon beats Integra Type Rs with simple mods...I think I know where he'll vote:icon16:.

2.5RS's typically run mid 15's with a good driver, so do GSR's... People have gotten into low 15's with stock RS's, but so have people in stock GSR's...

It'll come down to the drivers basically.

And my TS has beaten Type R's with simple mods. Chalk it up to drivers or weather or track conditions or their mom not loving them enough as a child or whatever, but it's happened before and will probably happen again. I beat a Jackson Racing Supercharged Type R last weekend, took 3rd place at the shootout. I was running equal times to the Turbo S2000 that got 2nd, but he wasn't consistent so I think I would have took him, but I was eliminated by the Talon that took 1st place. There was a Civic hatchback with an H22 swap there running only 2 tenths quicker than my TS was when it just had an intake and exhaust. You guys are really underestimating what the RS/TS can do.

edit: and e-gads guys, there's only one Z in Impreza

I think it will all come down to which driver is better.

WHEN I had just intake and exhaust, my best time was 12.8 with an average of about 13.0 (this is on a 1000ft track, we don't have any full 1/4 miles in Arkansas). The Civic with the H22 was running 12.6, and so was a Supercharged SOHC Civic. I have seen stock Type R's run anywhere from 12.8 to 13.1.

oh, now i get it. i was going to say those are some sick times for stock. what do you think they'd pull in a 1/4 mile

Stock, the top end on 2.5 Imprezas sucks, so a Type R would easily pull ahead before the end of the 1/4. An intake and full exhaust really opens up the top end. With the run in's I had with GSR's when I had just an intake only, it was usually pretty damn close by the end of a "street" 1/4, with them pulling ahead real soon after.
