It all depends. What kind of car (well, more importantly engine), what mods does it have, and what kind of cams are you getting?

well I have got an H23 on a prelude 4th gen... and i have intake, exhaust right now.. but the package that the cams come with comes with cams, cam gears, a new ported and polished head, ported and polished intake manifold, headers, ecu upgrade, and a bigger bore throttle body... how does that sound???

I think Gude has a kit like that for hte H23. The Bullfrog cams are supposed to be pretty good...how much $$$ tho??

i could be wrong, but it seems that gude doesn't have anything for 98-01 ludes.

Crower just came out with cams for the H22, I would definitely go for those over Gude. Crower's reputation for good smooth powerbands is better, Gude generally focuses more on top end numbers than anything else.

well the only reason i was going for the gude's was that it came with the entire racing package..and i figure ifthey are going to send me there whole package then it would run really well with just gude stuff... yea know.. anyone have any crower stuff?

They help, but it just a matter of where you want it to help you. Do you want more tq and less hp.....or more hp and less tq??

Prelude1897- It's physically impossible to change torque output without attendent increases or decreases in horsepower output, unless you are speaking or nearly useless peak numbers only. More torque means more horsepower, plain and simple.

does anywone have any experiences with cams? which you like or dislike?

Texan- That the same thing that I thought also. I asked that on a different board, and that was the reply that I had recieved. I sounded kinda funny when I read, but if that is true, thats cool. I have cams in my 97 Prelude, but I don't have them set yet. I want to have them set, but I don't know where they should be set at.

my friend bought a bullfrog cam for his accord and when it was installed he was told it wouldn't add much performance over stock at all... i suggest getting cams from crower or JUN if you get any
