went to my local hobby store today to pick up some supplies... came back close to $90USD lighter. so i picked up 3 kits and some modeling supplies... toghe toyota celica xx twincam, trd altezza sxe, 300zx (did you know this kit has a transparent hood!?), some tamiya putty and a circle scriber/cutter.

anyway, i checked out the goods... very happy... until i examined the altezza... i know fujimi doesn't give you the rims on the box of most of the tuned cars so i knew what to expect... i got the stock altezza rims but in white rather than metal plated... i knew this at the get-go so no worries there... but... as we all know, fujimi mounts the tires on the rims when they ship out the kit. so it was very evident that one of the tires were oversized! they gave me 3 correct tires and one tire for an 18incher such as the ones that come with the avs model 5's that they sell... even the treads and the sidewalls are differnt from the rest! so now i have three good wheels and one oversized tire...

when will i ever learn to check fujimi products before leaving the counter?

 No prob man! Chuck out those stock Altezza wheels anyway! Then you've got yourself a spare to mount somewhere on the car.

 I bought my first Fujimi kit more than a week ago, and I regretted like crazy. I would have no complaints if not for fact that the price is higher than a Tamiya kit, but quality is lower than a Tamiya kit. It just doesn't make sense. :bloated:

But now it makes sense. Reason: Fujimi makes tons of variants of the same car which I can choose from. The recent release of Honda Integras are evidence. (But...but the quality is...)

fujimi's Nissan 300ZX.. aye. The front wheels are to "foward" and the front lower lip was a bitch. Fujimi is still better then AMT though IMO.. :icon16:

Take it back and tell them you are not happy and want to change it.
