Pics of the R200A

Does anyone have pics of the R200A internals? I'm mostly looking for pics of the ring and pinion gears.
I've also heard of some swaps with the R200V from the 300ZX - has anyone done such a swap (either the whole diff or just the diff internals)????
Thank you,
joe

I don't think you can swap front-axle gears into rear-axle housings, I believe they have the opposite cut and will therefore have the drive/coast sides backwards. The length or some other aspect of the pinion is most likely diffferent with regard to the flange end as well. I know someone with pictures of at least the carrier w/ the ring gear on it though, will try and track them down.
Meanwhile, read this thread:

You can't swap the whole R200/R200V rear diff into the front end of an Xterra, the rear-drive housing is centered while the front-drive housing is offset to the left with an extension tube on the right side. Also, the viscous R200V is a crappy LSD for anything but street use. We're after the clutch-type.
For your 240, this should be helpful:

My 240 has the crappy stock LSD unit....but what I'm really looking for is the 4.636 gears.
The stock 240 diff is 4.083, and Nisan wants like $500 for a new ring and pinion gear. I was hopeing that the r&p gears from the 4.636 on the Xterra would fit. (this is only an experiment, as I dunno how close the R200A and R200V on the 240 are).
I didn't consider the differences in the front vs rear placement of the diff tho. I don't know, either, whether it's that the diff is actually reversed, or whether the front drive shaft spins the opposite direction as the rear (thereby being able to use the same diff gears as the rear).
Hopefully the pics can clear that up, and then I'll have to blow the money on the real gear set.
Thanks!

OK, here's the picture of the R200A carrier w/ ring gear. Not much, but it's something.

However, the pinion from an R200A is shorter than an R200 and therefore will not fit, so you can forget using an R200A R&P set.
Good luck,
Brent
