Holy crap! I post something and two seconds later someone replies. I love this place! I mean the actual muffler with the tip on it.

dont need to remove anything

first put the first half of the exhaust that connects to the header, glue it in, then glue the other part of the exhaust, the ppart that has the muffler attached.

No! I mean, how do i mount the muffler onto the other end of the exhaust. I know how to mount the exhuast to the chassis, but dont know how i should mount the muffler onto the exhuast system.

well, it depends on the tailpipe side of the muffler....personally, on the ones I'm making, I'm using a bunch of different tubing sizes so that the mufflers will fit onto 3/32" tubing.

ohhh i didnt know u meant scratchbuilt, you should have said that:tongue: well i say get some clay or putty or sumething, fill up the end of the muffler with it, and stick the piping in. might work, might not

Is this the right setup for a muffler exhuast system?

Yep. I hope that's not how yours is setup because 90 degree bends in an exhaust system is just dumb.

Personally, I think you could've put that a little better. You should start trying to take the feelings of other members into consideration.

DJ, I think what he was trying to say is that on a 1:1 car, 90 degree bends like that would disrupt the flow of gasses through the exhaust pipes, and therefore not be practical. If you were thinking on doing a custom made pipe all the way to the headers, I'd suggest following the course of the stock pipe. Just my opinion.

As for attaching the tips, you could fill in the header side of the muffler with clay or something like that. THen I'd drill a hole in the clay after it's dry and then paint it. Then I'd superglue it in place. Hope this helps, and good luck!!:bigthumb:

 Are you serious???

dumb is dumb is dumb and a 90 degree angle in an exhaust is dumb...1:1 or whatever

and, DJ RaYgU, either explain what the f*ck you're talkin about or DO IT YOURSELF.

BTW good luck with the build and be sure to post pics:smile: (and a nice close-up of your exhaust.):iceslolan
