fuel cut off

Anyone have a how-to on making a fuel cut off switch for a 4th gen?

they sell fuel shut off switches for cars, so im sure that when you do buy one, that it would say right in the directions. But im sure that it has something to do with the fuel line, like a valve or something. Correct me if im wrong.

im sure it would be cheaper for me to find a how-to and do it myself. i know there's one out there but i cant find it.

I did it...tapped into one of the wires heading back to the fuel pump...forget what color it was though :( so I'm no help...haha.

what is good about a fuel cut off?

pretty much if you would crash..flip the switch and all fuel is shut off from running to the engine

If someone trys to steal your car, and they try and start it, it won't start 'cause no fuel will be going to the engine. So the theif would have to spend time and find the fuel cut-off switch, or just give up and go home. It's an anti-theft device.

yea i thought of that...i dont know if im just paranoid but it seems kind of obvious to me.

well how about this..just try it different places, and like have one friend that doesnt know..then tell him to try and start up your car

mount it on the dash next to fog light switches.....then maybe it will just blend in

you could put in unde your Steering wheel colum.

about the fuel cutoff ... ever hapen to you guys that youd be crusing pedal to the flor and the fuel would just cut off ? like a preventive mesure so you cant speed ? it seams to hapen to me everytime i get to these same point on my daily road.... and it bugs the hell out of me. i found this DIY on the net to prevent the ecu from cutting the fuel pump but i'm afraid to do that.....

Does anyone know which color the power wire is on a 90 hatch? There's four, y/w, y/bk, bk, bk/w I just don't know which one to cut :confused:

i got my hands on a manual for my car...the black/yellow is the connector wire and the black is the negative. so i guess ill be splicing the black/yellow wire.
