I was looking at a 1998 Chrysler Sebring JXi convertible with the v6 engine. We were thinking of buying it until someone told us that at 80,000 miles the engine was worn out because the Chrysler engines wear out faster than other cars. They said that their car is at 120,000 and still running strong (it isn't a Chrysler), but a Chrysler at 80,000 is too worn out to buy. I'm just wondering if this is true. Thanks.

My dad owns a 97 Chrysler convt, and at 85,000 miles he started having some trouble. The tranny was one of the major problems, which isnt uncommon for chrysler cars to have problems with, but he also had electrical problems, that ended up costing an arm and a leg.

It always depends on how the ouwner cared the car (Maintenance).
Also its importante how he drove the car. With feeling or with lead in the snickers
