Raced a 5.O MUSTANG

Well i was coming out of work.And this white 5.0 mustang revs at me and cuts in front of me.We were doing this back and forth for quite a while until we reached the light.He completely stopped and started reving at me.So i pull right next to him.We take off on green. i took him in 1st gear by about 2 car lenghts then when he threw it in 2nd he caught up to me.We were bumper to bumper.Until he hit 3rd then i was long gone.I still cant believe i kept up with a 5.0 for so long.IT was 90-93 style and it wasnt stock.:nutkick:

WELL my car is an HF.but it has a d16a6 engine with I/E and shortshifter but i still have the HF tranny:frown:

From what i saw the 5.0 had a roll bar and flowmasters.Im pretty impressed with my car.

WHat do u mean why bother racing him?He was being a little biatch and i wasnt gonna wuss out of a race.All these mustang owners think imports are weak and slow.I would of beat him in the 1/8 mile.

Speakin of racing a 5.0 I just did tonight.
Me and my friend were coming home from work and this 90-93 mustang comes by.
It sounded for some reason like the 4 cyl LX version with only like 105hp, I think? Correct me if Im wrong.
well I say to my friend lets catch up to it if its a 4 cyl we might have fun racing it.
I have a 1990 Civic LX with the D15 and intake and exhuast. With 5 speed tranny.
well anyways we end up at the light and then the scariest sound was rumbling from its engine. The v8 sound make me sometimes wanna go domestic, lol.
Anyways the light turns green and i floor it he gets the idea and floors it also.
As soon as I hit 2nd gear he flys by me like nothing.
I was expecting this guy to laugh at me and stuff.
But as we got next to him and he turned onto a side street he gave us a peace sign that he was cool about it.
Those are the kinda domestic owners I like, not the stuck up only domestics rule type guys. Who think any import on the road is slow and should be trashed.
I know its long but it was fun never the less.

oh hell yea..reppin the 4drs.

Well ive only beat 3 domestics so far.One was a 97 camaro RS with I/E(auto) a friend of mine.2nd a 1982 camaro Z28(4 speed manual).And last a 01 mustang V6.

What about you guys have u ever burned any domestics?

Sure he wasn't just playing wit you? My friend Tyler does that all the time when I try to race him in his 96 Integra GS-R, I'll be giving it all I got and he'll stay side by side me and then start throwing revs while we're still racing. Pisses me off. Really pisses me off when he add to my pain by fliping the switch and feeding his baby a nice 75 shot of ZEX to add 4 more car links to the already 8 he is beating me by. :bricks1:

Do you possibly think a camaro owner would let himself get beat by a honda.C'mon dude think.all of my other friends have witnessed it.the rs only has a 3.8 and its an automatic

I have a b16 with intake only. z28 doesnt run high 13s . Gt are slow. Those cars i raced are stock. I beat the z28 by like a bumper TWICE. Next week i'm gonna throw in my c5 block finally.

It doesn't take much to beat those cars when u have a b16 ...i mean you guys make it sound like they're super fast. They're quick but not fast on stock form.

Those cars run those times with PRO drivers.

GT stangs run about 15's in the 1/4 mile as for z28's like 14's

Yeh true but theres quite a few ppl that hit those times. Also a b16 crx STOCK hits 14.7 with good tires and suspension.

As with my CRX... was sold long ago.

Had a 91 EX with an H22A swap... which I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone... your bro's going to love it!

Got to think, the 4th gen accord doesn't weigh much over 2,000lbs, so having that much power is soooooo much fun!
I might even go so far as building another one, one of these days.

UH dude they weight about 3500 lbs.(Gross weight)

Yeh rite now hes tryin to find the best deal for it. Hes always on www.h22a.org but that site is having problems. They're very helpful though.

Theryre curb weight is in the 2,000 lbs range.

Well my friend got his weighted when he did the smog.his is a 93 accord LX 4door though

As for where your bro can find information, there's not a lot of places on the net... and at the time I wasn't as car savy as I am now... so I had a local shop do my swap for me.

I agree accords with h22 s are fuckin fast
