What do you do after work-

If its been a rough day I always like to pick up a bottle of wine on my way home (south austrailian type) don't know why its just what I get:D Then relax in the pool. I have a 30 min. drive on the way home so I usually have music going while on 411.

There are some truly excellent SA wines. I could go and recommend some good ones if you like. I usually have a couple of beers (James Squires, Guiness, Kilkenny are favs), put on some good music and kick back relax on the computer. :loser: :thefinger

I'll stand corrected on this but I dont believe the Guiness you get is imported from Ireland is it? I think it might actually be Jamica, I think thats where the US gets the Guiness from, well certainly upto a few years ago they did.

Nope, ours is imported from Ireland. And you are correct - but I know some excellent bars/bartenders and I imagine I have got it fairly authentic. Love the stuff :cheers:

Well thats news to me...as they say you learn something new every day. Still cant believe it would taste great after being transported from Ireland. At least the bar staff over there know how to pull a proper pint of Guiness. Here is a good story for you. My Fiance brought me to Liverpool for my birthday a couple of years ago, we were going over to see Liverpool at Anfield something I couldnt wait to do as I have supported them since I was a kid. Anyway we went into a bar and I noticed they had Guiness on tap so I ordered a pint. Well the barman poured the pint but did it as though it was a beer or lager. Straight to the top. Well I looked at Niamh (My fiance) and she nearly had to pick me up of the floor with laughter. The barman looked at me and asked what was wrong and I told him what he did wrong but couldnt understand what he did wrong. So the manager comes out and asks what the problem is and I told him and he couldnt understand what the barman did wrong. Anyway it turns out they had only got Guiness in and I was one of the first to have it in the pub.....long story short I had to go behind the bar to show them how to pull a pint properly. It still tasted crap.

Killkenny always reminds me of when I was a barman and we would be cleaning out the slops at the end of the night. When Smithwicks and beers where put in together thats what Kilkenny looks like and when it came on the market I have never been able to look at the stuff. Sorry dont want to turn anyone off of it.

Like I said though you have to come to Ireland to taste a real creamy pint of Guiness. If you ever come over Oz give me a shout I will bring to some of the best pubs in Dublin that serve the best pints of Guiness you will ever taste.

Now, in an effort to get the thread back on subject......

After work a buddy of mine head down to the water front for a couple mile jog. Sometimes my wife is down there fishing so afterwards I'll go join her. In the winter its to the gym and then home for some quality time in front of the boob tube.

Some of these posts scare me! :greddy2:

After work I like to just get home, let the dogs out, get into comfy lounge clothes and just sit under the fan or take a quick nap before Alex gets here. Afterward we either watch some TV or go out for coffee.
