the origonal Dragonball, way back when it was a sat. morning cartoon... must have been late the 80's/ early 90's... at least i think it was...

Speed Racer was most likely my first, but I also remmember seeing G-Force in the 70's along with Star Blazers...

OH MAN!!! umm....that show with the Zodiac Armor! SOMEONE HELP WITH THE NAME!!! In spanish it was "Caballeros Del Zodiaco". "Zodiac Horsemen"

Anybody remember the SilverHawks....i know, it's not anime but it is a very old show...when I was young kinda old.

My first was Ronin Warriors....I loved that show.

Mazinger. I was watching that when I was around 7 years old. :biggrin:

As for Silverhawks... yeah I remember that. Kick ass cartoon. Voice-overs done by the same people who did the voice-overs for Thundercats. :thumbsup:

first show i ever saw was probably G-Force or Ronin Warriors.. first movie i ever saw was either Ninja Scroll or Vampire Hunter D

My first show was Goldorak, but that was in Europe, I think they call it Grandizer in the US.

It was Voltes V, way back in 1979, when I was around 8 years old...

I was only 4, I wish I could get the rerun videos...

Mine was Neon Genesis Evangelion, then Rurouni Kenshin, all anime sucks in english.

Ya, Voltron was awesome, not to be reckoned with. The two first movies I ever saw, and still consider to be my favorite, which gave me a really good jump into anime were "Ninja Scroll" and "Vampire Hunter D". I still consider them the best, with Akira of couse comming up closely behind it.

Project A-ko was my first anime. Followed shortly thereafter by Dominion Tank Police.

The first I can remember actually identifying as anime was "Fist of the North Star." It didn't occur to me 'til later that Robotech was also anime. Speed Racer, as a re-run, was an early one for me. Thundar the Barbarian was a regular cartoon, but deserves honorable mention.

ROBOTECH all the way!!! i think that cartoon changed my life at like 6 or 7 back in good ole '85... lol

Ninja Scroll is the shit. never focused on anything like Robotech though. Robotech: Battlecry is a great game. i heard they are also comming out with a New Generation game soon too.

way back when I used to watch Voltron religiously, followed by Robotech. Does anyone remember a show that came out around '86 or '87 that was a total knock-off of voltron, using cars that "assembled" to form a fighting robot? That show sucked and I just remember being so ticked off that it stole the concept of Voltron.

mine was akira...yah im cool or lame depending who you are...but the frist series that i fallowed was samurai pizza cats!

I wasn't referring to Transformers, loved that show... Go-bots, not so sure about, maybe? I only remember seeing the show for a very short period of time before it disappeared from TV (where I was at least)

First anime I watched, actually knowing what anime is: Initial D. Although I was addicted to Samurai Pizza Cats as kid, but I had no idea what anime was.

Hm, mines was DBZ, back when I was very little. But, my fav would be between Evangelion, and Cowboy Bebop.
