Grand AM or Prix??

whats would be a better buy a grand prix or a grand am??? and why??

Grand prix, IMO. Larger car, larger engine, better looking, more reliable. The 3800 engine is one of the greatest modern engines in the world.

also 175hp w/ Grand am GT, and the Grand prix SE is 175, you can pay about the same for a GA GT, as you will pay for a GP GT, and have 25 more HP, and like 40 more TQ. JMHO

Yes, I have a GTP, I own a GP se for 2 years prior to that. There's just something about riding in a wide track car and beating 99+ Mustang GT's on your second day of owning the Super charged beast.

it is the look on their face when you beat them. the fact that they spent more than you on a sports car, and pay premium insurence payments, and we don't. that is the great thing.

I raced a guy in a V6 5 speed mustang. and of course I won. after we raced, and he caught up, he rolled his window down, and said "That just ain't cool!!!" That made it worth it.:icon16:

Imagine the face of a ricer when a luxury cars pulls away from them at the light. Granted its no GTP, but it is still a nice feeling.

BTW- The Buck Regal GS is the same car, but cheaper insurance.

Thats your opinion. I think the Regal GS looks just as good as the GTP. I'm a Buick Man, and proud of it.

Honestly? If you put a 2004 regal GS and a 2004 GTP in front of me, I would take the regal, then take the GS and s/c badges off so no one would know it was supercharged. Besides, Ive always had a thing for luxury.

and also i live in canada so we dont have that many SC regals on the streets

I'd still drive the regal, I drive what I drive because thats what I want to drive, I will not ever buy a different car just to satisfy someone else. The point of driving a Buick is not to have a more sought after car, but to be in a more luxurious environment.

if you want comfort buy a 1 or 2 year old caddy STS it costs as much as a regal and its a V8. GTP was ment for performance and sporty look a regal GS was probably something to keep up the name BUICK in the line up so people dont think that a pontiac is better than buick

whats the difference in HP between Grand AM GT and Grand Am GT Ram Air

I thought that was the difference between the GT and the SE, the GT has ram air, and 5 more HP. than the SE. it is 170 HP and 175 HP.

GP SE has 175 HP, GP GT has 200 HP and GTP has 240hp



I like the regal also, I like the ride and the sleeper abilities, but I have to admit, I like the sporty look of the GP.

The regal GS is nice as hell. Getting a ticket doing 115 in a 65 on the other hand isn't.
