Questions???

I am very intrested in buying a Grand Am GT but i need to know if they are reliable cars??? im not going to have it for to days and it break down ? how many miles will they last and are the motors good :confused:

what would be a better buy a grand am se or gt????

i have a 99 grand am gt. lets say im not the easiet on it. i like to drve fast take coners hard. basicly beat the hell out of it. no motor problems. so far the motor has been good i have just about 70k miles on it i started with 20k. the only probs i have had where in the suspension, and that would be my fault for diving like a bat out of hell. i would say a gt is good cuz of the v6 but the se with the v6 is just as good

if you plan to buy a gt it will need lower intake gaskets and oil pump dive seal known oil leak and coolant.also a low 5mph scrub noise that sounds like brake rotors its the tire bead scrubbing on the alloy wheels.and last upper strut mounts it will sound like you are driving over a tin roof, gm master tech 18 years i know,

Not all lower intakes leak! And that tire problem only concerns factory installed tires for only certain years not all Grand Ams have this problem. Every car line has problems. Some problems are minor and some severe.

Next time you go driving thru town look in the lots of the Ford, GM, Chrysler and import dealers they all have techs working there, and they usually have a full work load everyday. What does that tell you?

ra do you make you'r living repairing overpriced pieces of plastic? well i do and not to piss on anyones parade but 9 out of 10 lower intakes leak on a grand am m and j engine and the 1 out of 10 is too stupid too realize it's leaking. i'm not getting imto a pissing contest over this i'm just stating facts
