Hi, all is there a fuse on the trailblazers that can be disconnected to keep daylight headlights from coming on/ I found the one on my 2000 sierra and pulled it, don't know if there is one on the trailblazers? Thanks

You don't need to pull a fuse. Just find your dome override button (down around the knob that you turn your lights on with) and press it 4 times within 6 seconds (I think that's the sequence). A chime will sound and the day time running lights will be off.

Yes, pressing the dome overide 3 times off/on will turn off the DRLs, but this has to be done everytime you start your car. I think he is looking for a more permanent solution. I know there is a fuse in the main fuseblock, but its one of the larger modules that does not just pull out. Short of jerking the hell out of it, a tool is required to remove it. Thats about as far as I got with it...now I just dont worry about it any more. Ideally, I would actually like to have it where my add-on driving lights are what is on for DRL, not my main lights. Maybe when I get some free time, I will look into it further.

hey i have an envoy and would like to do the same thing and keep my daytime runnings lights off. My question is by pulling that fuse will the automatic lights that come on at night still work, and come on automatically?

Has anyone though of checking the programming feature to see if there is an option to turn the DRL on/off? Of course this freature may only be on the high end systems. For those who have the electronic display and can program their car it might be worth checking out. What I can't figure out is why would anyone want to turn off the DRL? I travel about 36,000 miles a year as a field service eng. and it has saved my bacon a number of times because people tend to see bright objects coming at them.

the problem i have is where i live in California. The heat from the headlight being on and the heat of the sun combined makes the headlight over time start to get a white haze towards the top of the light... kind of like if you were to take a lighter to clear plastic. Anyway any help would be great, and also which fuse is it that i would pull, because i cant find a fuse with DRL on it. Ohh...almost forgot...in answer to your question there is no On/off choice on the electronic display. Thanks

I think you will find that when you take the shifter out of Park is when the DRL come on. There should be a switch link from the shifter that activates the DRL. If you can get your hands on a set of wiring diagrams (check local library for Chiltons) you could disable this switch and keep the DRL from coming on. You would think that GM would install a bypass under the dash or something to give you that option. Hope this helps. If you don't have any luck I can research this further and come up with an answer.
