Project Eccosse 206...

Well this a diecast model(1:18 scale)but since there is based on a 206 wrc(which is availiable as a kit by tamyia)some may interested in this conversion...
It's going to be a mix and match of the various Eccose kits...
It will have propably the impact hood(first two pics),the bluespart front arches(third pic) and the impact rear arches(last pics...

The rear bumper will be a custom one...

Just taking the model apart was a huge pain and the smoothing of the front hood was soo difficult abd took many hours with sandpaper and file...Minor holes(in the roof) filed abd the rear bumper is almost shaped...(Don't know if I'm gonna add something to the middle section of the rear bumper...)

Hope you like it it's still in the rough stages but is going to be an interesting project...

P.S:Hope there is no problem with it being diecast...:)

Looks very promising , but why did you use a diecast?
sure it might be bigger, thus easier to detail, but I always thought plastic was the medium where customising could be done without too many problems???

Anyways, keep it on .. although it's not quite my cup of tea..

Well to be honest the perfect scale is 1:24 enough details without being to big...
But I have a nice 1:18 diecast collection and I'am customizing diecast for some years now...
While the 1:24 is more difficult to detail plastic is much easier to work on so working on 1:18 and metal is a good challenge(very good) one...but why?

I think that I like the process of working with metal body parts...I think that it's more of the real thing...I don't know if you somone can understand the filling if it hasn't done it....It's difficult but gives a nice feeling of accomplishment in the end and it's very colse to workin ona real car...
Anyway,hope you like the end result since I'm gonna put too much hard work into it...

P.S:Eccose kits(specially the impact) might seem a bit over the limit but are true art in 4 wheels...The Eccose together with Parotech and Carisma(except the very ugly TVR Cebera)are the top euro body kit designers...Pure class and quality...Just spend some time looking the kits...
