Well i took my first ride in a mustang a couple of weeks ago, it was impressed! it was in my buddies 1990 lx i believe, he has full exhaust, bigger throttle bodie, geared, not sure what ratio, some aftermarket tranny,a 75 shot on n2o. and some other stuff.we were heading down a long stretch of road and he slows down to a stop and just nails it and slams it through the gears and i was impressed, but then he turned the nitro on but we were in second gear this time, he nails it again, lit the tires up, slams it in third, lite em up again and by the time we hit fourth we were a flyin. i was completely impressed with his car, i never new the older mustang's were that quick, i drive a 1990 nissan 300zx na, and no i'm not a ricer, so dont bash me for posting in mustang section, i just wanted to give my friend and his mustang mad props

Mustangs can be made very quick without draining the bank. Glad you finally saw the light! :bigthumb:

That's the worst suprise for many enthusiasts. They don't know how quick the Fox bodies are a lot of the time. They read a magazine and see 225hp and write them off, hehe.
Here's how I would rate the following cars for straight line performance with freebies or mods under $50.
1987-1988 Mustang 5.0
1999-2003 Mustang GT
1989-1993 Mustang 5.0
1994-1995 Mustang GT
1998 Mustang GT
1996-1997 Mustang GT
The speed density foxes were very quick.
