My 99 tahoe is eating up the front brakes pads. I do do some towing and city driving so I am not suprised to see this. I was wondering if somebody has some info on some rotors and brake pads that will hold up longer.

I'm havong the same problem with my 99 Yukon (same vehicel as the Tahoe) and want to see if you've had any response to you question offline. I'm at a loss, 40,000 and 2 sets of brakes already!

Assuming that you've been using GM pads, don't constantly tow very heavy loads and don't drive aggressively, best upgrade to improve pad wear to would be going to a ceramic pad such as those made by Satisfied Pro see:
