new transmissions

can any 1 tell me how those nw transmissions with the plus and minus sign work.

its called tiptronic trannies. its basically a auto tranny where you shift yourself instead of it shifting for you. basically its and auto/manual tranny without a clutch pedal. my boy has a 03 CL type-s with the tiptronic tranny and for the first 2 gears it shifts for you, then when it redlines 2nd gear then you can take over. its pretty weird and you gotta get used to it.
