Motor Noise Under Rear of Van

I have a 20212 Chrysler Town and Country and when my wide had the rear hatch open unloading groceries with the van off and key removed I hear what I thought was the rear blower but turns out was coming from underneath the van at the rear like under the rear hatch area.

The only thing I can think of is fuel pump and maybe the fuel pump relay is bad? Is this the area where the fuel tank / pump would be on this model?

I had to remove the battery cable to get it to stop. Just curious if I am going in the right direction?
