So my 2008 Nissan Altima 2.5 S had been running great for the few months after I purchased it, except for a little swaying from side to side when I take a right curve too fast.. So I'd take right curves slower than left curves. On my way to the store, right before I take the first left, I hear a slight clicking noise sporadically and out of rhythm, then instantly, my gas pedal stopped working... The engine stayed running, and the gas pedal still revved up the motors RPMs, but the car itself wasn't physically going anywhere, then came to a stop on the side of the road, and I had it towed to my house.i've done a little research on my year, make, and model and am coming to the conclusions of a bad transmission, a faulty TCM(Transmission Control Module), a bad differential, or a broken CV Shaft/axle... I have little automotive and mechanical knowledge, but am very well-educated and more along the technological side of the field. I do not have an OBD 2 scanner. I'm really attempting to self-diagnose and repair whatever the problem may be, but I'd like an experienced Mechanics opinion on what the problem may actually be... Can anyone assist me with telling me what other information I could need to get better results to help me understand what the problem actually is...?

Get under it somehow and look at the for one of the drive axles broken or disengaged, your lack of experience here says you should get it to a shop.

I'm with Max here. It's great to want to learn and do it yourself, but without someone physically guiding you you might just be setting yourself up to get hurt.
