Do you guys even care if a.f. Is going down the toilet?

DO YOU GUYS EVEN CARE IF A.F. IS GOING DOWN THE TOILET?

I both report what I suspect to be bots in these forums, including the latest offender:

Username "ibmofficial"

And I receive the message "Database Error".

I was so excited when I saw new activity in the Engineering and Cars In General sub-categories, but it was only ibmofficial spreading spam.

I suggested, several times, migrating to a new forum engine, and was told it's not going to happen. Even reaching out to Igor himself has netted no response.

As a registered member, I will continue to share repair advice with actual users who need it, but I am quite disappointed with the sentiment shared at the top leadership levels here at Automotive forums.

Same here, I get the same database error, but if I try to report the same message again it gives me the, you must wait 60 seconds between reporting spam posts message. Also, why the 60 second wait? There were 10 spam messages, and it takes over 10 minutes to report them all, whereas if the reporting delay wasn't there, it would take less than a minute. Why aggravate those that are trying to help this website? :disappoin

Over there, the owners/admins actually care about the site and the forums, membership (of real humans!) is actually growing, bot infiltration is kept to a minimum, and they're stemming the Facebook effect - the loss of members from forums to social media - that is killing A.F.
