Well, since they use the engines that Jag used last year (Suzuka spec), then yes, they do use pretty much Ford Cosworth engines.

dont jordan use, the old jag engine for this year while cosworth iron out the little glitches, then next year both jordan and jag run on same engines. and minardi get the engines that jordan get?

No, MInardi don't get the same engines Jordan get. Let me be specific now.

There are 3 types of Ford/Cosworth engines in F1 at this point. Jaguar, obviously, get the latest 2003 spec works engine (well, their own engine :)). Jordan get a Suzuka-spec engine from last year (meaning the latest evolution of last year's engine), plus they also get Cosworth engineering support. So Cosworth are actually developing that engine further. Now Minardi get a very early 2002-spec engine and no development support. And I also have a feeling that they pay more for them than ordan do for their engine as part of Jordan's bill is paid by Ford Europe (a sponsorship deal, hence the blue oval on the cars). BTW, Minardi is also the only team AFAIK that has to pay for their tyres, the rest of the teams are "partners" with the suppliers and get the rubber for free.

...and Renault, I think, unless they're Flaviotec's!

And I'd say "Jaguar" as it's all Ford and the differences are just in brand names of one empire.

So Ferrari, Renault, Toyota, Jaguar. Not bad, considering that just a few years ago there was only one manufacturer/team like that ;)

Nice change of topic here... what was the point of the initial one, btw? Just wondering, as I had a feeling that you needed an answer for some other question/conclusion.

Anyway, I don't know, as I don't know of the reasons. No one tells anything in full in F1, so I don't have an opinion (other than EJ can sod off:)) and don't really care either.
