Jasper differential gone bad !

Hello everyone,

I’m new here and not very knowledgeable about cars, so I’ll do my best to explain my situation. About two months ago, I noticed a growling noise from my differential, which I suspected was due to bad bearings. I decided to replace the differential with a rebuilt one from Jasper Engines instead of having it rebuilt.

After installing the new differential, I began hearing a high-pitched whining noise from the pumpkin, audible inside the cab while driving. It sounded like a pinion bearing issue. I recorded the noise and contacted Jasper Engines for a warranty replacement. Unfortunately, the replacement part had the same problem. Jasper informed me that the first differential had a defective clip, but they weren’t certain if that was the cause of the noise.

Now, I’m on my third differential from Jasper Engines, and the whining noise persists. I’m frustrated and unsure of what to do, as each replacement has the same issue. I’ve uploaded a video to YouTube capturing the sound my truck is making, which might help in diagnosing the problem.

At this point, I’m seeking advice on whether this noise is a major concern that could affect the longevity of my differential, or if it’s something I can continue to drive with without significant issues. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to af, I've done a lot different overhauls over the years, that's one of the worst I've heard! You've sent this video to Jasper and what?

The frequency sounds correct for something pinion related, be it a bearing or improper depth.
