i was wondering if there is a difference between stainless steel and ceramic coated besides prices and the way it looks (i.e. performance diffence, durability, heat dissipation, or how long it will last)?

Go with the ceramic, it will look nicer after a little wear the ss will discolor and look werd, but the ceramic coated will look like new for a long time, I have had mine for around 2yrs and it still looks just like it did when i put it on :bigthumb: Not to mentin that the ceramic is also lighter.

The Polished is made of T-304 stainless steel, which may make it last a little longer, but the ceramic will last forever, so who really cares. Just an advertizing campaign.

I am going to assume that you know nothing about powder coating. Do you know how it is applied? If you did you would not be suggesting it be put on a header, and also the ceramic is on there for a reason, to disipate heat, which is something the powder caoting will not do, the powder coating will absorb it and melt and come off and look like shit! But hey what does someone who worked at a powder coating company know :thefinger
